- Summary of the 44th Koszalin Film Debut Festival MŁODZI i FILMWe have just experienced a remarkable event – the 44th Koszalin Film Debut Festival MŁODZI i FILM, which has firmly established itself in the calendar of the most important cultural events in Poland dedicated to young cinema. Once again, we had the honor of being a partner of this Festival, which in June attracted film enthusiasts from across the country. Throughout this intense week, Koszalin was alive with film activities. Audiences had the opportunity to participate in the premieres of debut feature films, documentaries, and short films. The Festival also featured a special competition called Teatroteka, and accompanying events such as meetings with creators in the “Sincerity for Sincerity” series, workshops, masterclasses, pitching sessions, concerts, debates, exhibitions, and outdoor cinema further enriched the program. As every year, Heliograf actively participated in the Festival, joyfully supporting young creators. Within the MiF Jury, a special Heliograf award of 5000 PLN was granted to the winner of Jantar for cinematography in the Short Film Debut Competition in the form of a contribution of lighting equipment and filming techniques for use in our rental for the next project, as well as a cash prize of 5000 PLN. We are pleased to announce that this award was given to Tomasz Pawlik for the film “ŚWIEŻAK,” directed by Michał Edelman, produced by Studio Munka. The Jury’s justification highlighted: “a cinematic language that touches without breaking. The cinematography in this film builds a tender relationship with the character and portrays unarmored masculinity.” The Distinction for Cinematography in honor of Arek Tomiak went to Maria Zbaska for a movie „To nie mój film” which we are coproducing. The Festival’s justification emphasized the values that defined the work of Arek Tomiak, noting that Maria Zbąska’s cinematography was described as an intimate story painted with light, color, and rhythm. A complete list of winners from the other competitions can be found at the end of this entry. We warmly congratulate all the awardees and nominees! During the Festival, Heliograf also hosted a Cocktail event, where nominations for the Short Film Competition were announced. This year’s meeting had a special significance as we celebrated the 35th anniversary of our company together. The energy and enthusiasm of the guests filled us with positive power for each day in Koszalin. Thank you for all the good wishes and kind words! We were also pleased to support the Cinematography Workshops led by the outstanding DoP Tomek Naumiuk and the talented director Kasia Adamik. Our participants had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and work with the latest lighting equipment available at Heliograf: Evoke Nanlux 5000B, Evoke 1200B, Evoke 900C, Dyno 1200C, Nanlite Pavo 240C, and APARO 240×120. Thank you to all participants for your active engagement and to the leaders for sharing their knowledge and experience. We sincerely congratulate the Management of Festival’s Młodzi i Film for organizing the event and thank you for the invitation and for allowing us to be a Partner of MiF. We eagerly await our meeting next year, with an even larger group!
